While doing our research on the history of the Redcliffe Peninsula, we were already aware of the significance of the name “Humpybong” given that our oldest public school bears that name as does a creek that runs through the Peninsula down to the foreshore at Redcliffe.

During our research we came across the map that is the image used for our first two releases, our Original and Citrus Gins.

This map is dated 1883 and bears the title “Plan of Humpy Bong, Parish of Redcliffe, County of Stanley, District of Moreton” and we now have a copy of it hanging in our Cellar Door area.

This map shows the initial 65 allotments on the peninsula and the names of the landowners at that time. (reference https://www.redcliffebook.com/product-page/framed-1883-map-of-humpybong).

All our Gins will include a special botanical that we will refer to as “Mystery” which we hope will set us apart from the other Gins out there.
